Blondie Box Set - 2006
Released early in 2006 by Toshiba-EMI in Japan, this special Album Box Set includes Blondie's first 6 original studio albums plus The Best Of Blondie. Inside each Mini Album is the CD, Lyrics Sheets and Inner Sleeves if and when available on the original releases. The 7 CD set is housed in a special Box and each CD is wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve. All have been reproduced identical to the original 12" vinyl releases together with Obi strips. For those of you who don't know what an Obi strip is, here is a brief explanation. The Obi strip is the small outer piece of paper wrapped around most of the Japanese books, CDs and 12" vinyls. These small paper strips provide information such as the catalogue number, a barcode, the release date, the price (with or without tax) , the song titles, artist name, album name, a small Japanese discography of the artist . Though this is a purely functional item in Japan, products that feature an obi strip have become somewhat desirable to collectors in other countries.
